Welcome to BlueMoon Ranch! Here we have a variety of horses and ponies all of which are well loved. Although I do not call myself a 'rescue' I will find the odd horse or pony in need and take them home. The most recent are a couple yearlings, one of which was in very poor condition (he is now a healthy, sound and energetic colt).
A brief history of BlueMoon Ranch
I've been riding horses for more then 18 years and I've loved it through thick and thin. I mainly trail ride but I have done a few years of gymkhana and recently I've taken up Jumping. Training horses is a joy for me and I have been doing so for 6 years. I continue to learn new techniques or methods and I always want learn as much as I can. I have trained client's horses, ponies and miniatures but I mainly enjoy working with my own young stock.
I bought my first little pony (Peppin) several years ago and from then I fell in love with the little horses. It wasn't long until I bought Merry and I started working with them both, breaking them for the cart. They were easy to work with and both are very intelligent. A couple years after, I had bought Mr. T and I was been breeding the ponies mares for four years until I had sold Mr. T last summer and now have temporarily stopped breeding my ponies.
The largest of the ponies I have is Hero. I've done a bit of ground work with him last summer and I plan to go further in his training and ride him soon this or next year.
As well as the ponies, I have horses here at the ranch. Tony (who has passed on) and Goliath were my first, followed by Navarre and the rest of them. I love to go out riding any time of year - weather permitting of course!

It's been a while since updating the website as well as being involved with the horses. For the past year and a half, I've been busy with other endeavors and haven't been able to put enough time towards the horses so things have been put on a hiatus for the time being. I hope to start training again as soon as I can and for the time being, we've stopped breeding the mares.

All the youngsters are growing big and strong this winter. Last foal crop are getting taller and friendlier, plus Charlie and her older brother; Chester, are getting into a hole lot of trouble!

All the horses and ponies are doing well as the cold season progresses. Both youngsters (Charlie and Hugo) are growing quickly and they're starting to get shaggy!
